Weather tips
Mornings are calmest
From May to October, thunderstorms often build after 2 PM. Morning trips usually get flatter water and lighter wind.
Thunder means head in
If you hear thunder or see lightning, return to the marina or the nearest dock. Call us and we will help you find shelter.
Small Craft Advisory
If the National Weather Service issues a Small Craft Advisory for your time, we cancel or reschedule at no charge.
Watch the tide at the sandbar
Haulover and Nixon sandbars are best near low tide. Anchor in at least 3 feet of water so you don't get stuck when the tide drops.
